I paint mostly in my studio at home, using photos I take, or from family, friends. Some-times I paint from memory, like the fish in the painting, "Fancy Fish".  I played with painting on a black canvas a friend gave me to try…  It was great fun pulling the image from the dark background.

“The only difference between people who paint and those who don’t is Passion.” Helen Van Wyk.  I joined SRAG in 2010 where I found many great friends and like-minded people who support and appreciate each others passions.  I also belong to the Genesee Valley Plein Air Painters and love to paint outdoors whenever possible.

I use my art skills everyday at my lab creating life like dental restorations. I have been painting or creating all my life. I would say I am “self taught”, but I stand on the shoulders of all who came before me.  Studying the great masters, books, DVD’s, workshops, and all the wonderful demo’s at the monthly SRAG meetings.
