Suburban Rochester Art Group was founded in 1957, and was organized to provide an opportunity  for Rochester area artists to develop their creative abilities through regular meetings, demonstrations, and exhibits. The group strives to maintain high standards creatively and ethically, and maintain its not-for-profit status by striving to culturally enrich the surrounding community.

PictureMembers enjoy a late summer paint-out at Braddock Bay.
This very active art group meets every 2nd Wednesday of each month.  Our general meeting begins promptly at 6:30 pm followed by a demonstration or presentation at 7:10 pm.  Visitors are always welcomed and encouraged to learn more about our group.

In addition to monthly demonstrations and other learning opportunities, we offer the chance to paint as a group "en plein air" in the warmer months of the year.  We also periodically facilitate day-long workshops. We exhibit, as a group, several times a year in various locations, giving our members the chance to share their work with the community.

Our meetings and demonstrations are free and open to the public and we encourage artists of all levels to  attend a meeting and find out what this vibrant art group is all about.
