ANNE McCUNE

The main inspirations for my paintings are the natural elements which surround me. Whether the source is a beautiful flower, a majestic sky, or an orange cut into segments, I view it mainly in terms of shape and colour and do not focus so much on the content. Therefore, the result offers a slightly altered vision.
I am primarily a watercolourist, but also work in coloured pencil and, more recently, have enjoyed experimenting with collage.

I have served for 3 years as President of the Suburban Rochester Art Group, and I am a signature member of Rochester Art Club. I have been painting seriously since 1990, although I have been creative in some form or other, my whole life.
I exhibit regularly in our group shows, but have also shown as an individual at Artist Row, 1570 Gallery and The Williams Gallery.
