Aggie Windig
Aggie Windig started out in the early 90’s by making and designing stained glass boxes, lamps, windows, etc. and did so for over ten years.
Around 2003 she began focusing on decorating eggs, using the Pysanky technique (with dyes and beeswax). She has been inspired by what goes on in her life, such as traveling, cultural aspects of societies, the outdoors, other artists and art forms. She tends to include geometric patterns.
Over the years she has broadened her repertoire to colored pencil paintings, where she often allows fantasy and unexpected juxtappositions to creep in.
Lately she has added quilting to her list of preferred activities, in which she incorporates home-designed embroideries of subjects that have caught her interest.
